- Why choose us?
With over 30 years experience in the home and business security industry, there aren't many systems that we do not know or haven't worked on. We are a family run business and pride ourselves on our customer service and workmanship.
- What brand of alarm system do you install?
Our chosen brand of system to install is Pyronix. You can read about our burglar alarms and packages on the burglar alarms page.
- How much does a burglar alarm system cost?
Burglar alarm packages start at £539.00, with the standard package at £599.00 including installation. Additional sensors and devices can be added or removed depending on the property. We offer a free no obligation survey.
- Do your displayed prices include installation?
Yes, all of our package prices include parts and installation.
- Do I have to have the app for the burglar alarm system?
No. The app is free for the first year and then has an annual fee of £25 per year. If you do not use the app, your alarm system will still work from the panel.
- Are your burglar alarm systems linked to the police?
No, we do not offer police monitoring. We do offer our app based system which allows you to monitor your system yourself and be notified of any activations.
- Do you service alarm systems installed by other companies?
Yes. MyAlarm Security services many alarm brands including Pyronix, Scantronic, Menvier, Visonic, Texecom, Veritas, Eaton, Cooper, Galaxy and Honeywell. DIY systems such as Ring and Yale are not serviced.
- How much is an alarm system service or call out?
As of February 2026, an alarm system service or maintenance visit is £95.00 for up to the first hour of labour. Parts and batteries are charged separately. Callouts outside of office hours are charged at a premium.
- What brand of CCTV do you install?
Our chosen brand of CCTV to install is Hikvision. You can see our CCTV packages on the CCTV page.
- Do you offer wireless CCTV packages?
No. All CCTV systems are hard wired with a cable from each camera back to the recorder.
- How much is a CCTV system?
We offer two CCTV packages, both including 4 cameras, a recorder and a hard drive, starting at £1,399.00. All CCTV installations require a site survey. See our CCTV packages on the CCTV page.
- Are there any rules for having CCTV cameras at my home?
Recording within your property boundary is allowed for personal use. Signage becomes a GDPR requirement if footage captures public space or a neighbour's property.
- How long does a survey take?
A survey can be done in just a few minutes. We allow as much time as you require to answer any questions. We are also available via phone or email should you have any other questions. Contact us here.
- Are you DBS checked?
Yes, and we can provide our certificate if required.
- Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, and we are happy to provide any paperwork requested.
- What training and industry experience do you have?
The owner and senior engineer Matt has worked in the electronic security industry since 1998 and has vast experience with many systems. Matt set up MyAlarm Security in 2017.
